This is a beautiful building. I'm so nerdy I actually googled your town to find out exactly what building it is; Tippecanoe Courthouse. Did you know that it was constructed from Indiana limestone?

Probably you do.

Yes, I did.

This courthouse was actually attacked by a "domestic terrorist" once. No, it wasn't me.

New York Times:

Crash at Courthouse Is Called Terror Attack
August 4, 1998
A stolen pickup truck crashed through the doors of the county courthouse here on Sunday and burst into flames in what local officials today called a terrorist attack.

No one was injured, but the Tippecanoe County courthouse was extensively damaged. About 25 people who lived nearby were evacuated, but some returned home today.

Local authorities asked for help from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in seeking the truck's driver, who apparently fled.

''They're treating this as a terrorist attack on the courthouse,'' Commissioner John Knochel, adding that wires and what might have been a fuse were hanging from the vehicle.

The fire, which was put out within an hour, caused extensive smoke and water damage to the courthouse in downtown Lafayette, about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
